Wednesday evenings I role play a character that goes by the name Clytem(Nestra) R'Lyeh. I am currently a Level 13 Warlock Tiefling. So, I'm kind of a badass. That is to say that I have the least amount of hit points (I'm squishy and easier to kill) than everyone else on my team. They however lack the ability to kill things from up to 300 ft. away like I do. Essentially I am best served helping the team by standing back and blasting the hell out of things. I am also a massive book nerd who was raised by wolves. Hey there had to be a reason to sell my soul... or services to a devil. What better reason than the pursuit of knowledge?
I miss my wolf family and how much easier life was before meeting the rag tag group of monster hunters I travel with. Although, they too are slowly starting to become my family (you tell them and prepare to be blasted in the face).
I can say that this particular evenings game play was exceptionally fun for me. We were all preparing for a massive attack on a black dragon clan, with help from the Emerald Queen dragon. We somehow convinced a fuck ton of people: many from our home base town to help us with this ridiculous suicide mission.
However, what made my night was tracking down a gentleman that I knew would have information on this horrible clan that has been moving into our town. In previous game play they had been so bold as to kidnap and torture our rogue. I knew this particular gentleman would have information since he is a part of that "brotherhood". A good chunk of my time was spent seducing this man that I knew from previous RPing was susceptible to my womanly wiles. Very little had to do with how well I rolled since I was more than happy to actually role play it (in words not deed you perverts). I now have very good information that will be integral to not dying when we choose to fight back you know if we somehow manage to survive the attack on the black dragon clan that is.
I am definitely intrigued to see how this campaign continues. We have a ridiculous bard, a loyal rogue, an adorably clueless barbarian, a Paladin formerly known as our cleric, and a DM(Dungeon Master) that does a damn fine job of trying to murder us in game but has the patience of a saint outside of it. I shall endeavor to be a better player with each game and to always keep it fun.
