Go and read this beautiful article and then enjoy the most beautiful breakdown of a "deep woman" in response to this lovely article: Most Men Can't Handle A Deep Woman
I liken a "deep woman" to water. When you compress water, you get ice. But ice expands as it freezes, water is one of the few liquids that does this. By trying to compress yourself, you struggle and break your surroundings like ice freezing in a concrete slab. Water, so soft and placid, cracking the foundations of the earth because it will not (cannot) be compressed. You look so soft, seem like a refreshing, quenching potation.
Folk enter your life and try to "soak you in" so to speak. They become addicted or they fail to see the rest of you. They forget that water is not weak or humble or compliant, they forget that water carved the canyons, that the world begs water's permission to build and bows before its fury. You are like water and thusly ice -- metaphorical personality traits and all -- it is your nature. You can't be contained. You've found ways to slice the boundaries with mind-affecting substances, you can't be contained. Those who try to compress you would have more luck punching gravity. You can't be contained.
I think the deeper ones are often overlooked. Often understated. Oh, they see you. Palely. Perhaps enticed by their reflection in your shimmering surface. But the depth of you is beyond their ability, and perhaps most sadly, beyond their desire to know. We are like water, the inescapable duality of which is ice. All the world is drawn to water, and she sustains them. But very few can handle her ice.
